Assignments, Blackboard and Referencing

Take a look at our referencing webpage for help and advice on referencing.

The UEA Learning Enhancement Team (LET) have some useful online resources to help you with referencing. LET also run drop-in sessions and one to one tutorials if you need more help. Or you can download their referencing guide.

A great online tool to help you with referencing is Cite Them Right. You have free access to this website as a UEA student or staff member, and you can find how-to guides and reference examples for all major referencing styles.

The Library also offers access to free reference management programs that can help you manage and organise your references. Find out more about the free reference management programs we offer.

If you need some support using a reference management program, please contact the UEA Academic Librarian for your subject by email and explain the problem you are experiencing.

The Library can assist you when you are doing research for your assignments by providing guidance on how to search for quality resources. For guidance on finding resources for your assignments, visit your subject guide or speak to your Academic Librarian for further help.

You can also visit First Assignment for assignment tips and resources.

If you are unable to log into Blackboard via My UEA (My.UEA homepage > Menu > UEA Systems > Blackboard), try this instead: Go to https://learn.uea.ac.uk/ and log in.

If you are still unable to log in, try resetting your UEA password. If you are still unable to log in after resetting your password, please contact the UEA IT Service Desk for further assistance.

For general guidance and help using Blackboard, check out the UEA guide for using Blackboard as a student.
