Open Access Week 2024

To celebrate International Open Access week, (21-27 October 2024), UEA Library held a series of lunchtime and early afternoon online events on Teams on topics around Open Research and Open Access Publishing. Recordings of these events are available below.

Open access books: Understanding your options with Open Book Publishers

Speaker: Lucy Barnes, Senior Editor and Outreach co-ordinator at Open Book Publishers

Abstract: Lucy Barnes introduces Open Book Publishers, a scholar-led, not-for-profit open access press for Humanities and Social Sciences, and explores the landscape of open access publishing without author fees. Find out more about the innovative ways you can publish your research when it's open access, and the equitable models being devised to fund open access without charging authors. UEA is a Library Member of Open Book Publishers, and this talk will help you understand more about your options when publishing with Open Book Publishers or with other specialist open access presses.
