Our newspaper and magazine subscriptions can be used in two different ways:
New users should go to the Economist registration page and fill in their details using their UEA email address
An email verification will be sent through to this address, which you will need to verify.
Once verified you will be lead back to Economist.com where you will see a pop up with the UEA logo, this pop up will have links to the Economist app, newsletters and events.
The Economist has content from the print edition published since 1997.
Fully digitised and searchable copy of every issue of The Economist from 1843 to 2020.
Once you sign up you can download the app to your device and create alerts on certain topics.

Just like academic journals, there are databases that allow you to search across many thousands of newspapers at the same time. Use subject specific keywords, company names and date ranges to narrow down your search and find relevant news articles.
How to log in: Click on the person icon (top right) , select Library or Group, search for East Anglia, Click on Open Athens. Log in with UEA credentials. You will then be able to create bookmarks of your favourite publications by clicking on the + icon top right, and create your own channel.
