NLA Media Access (was Newspaper Licensing Agency) represents newspaper publishers and licences copying from UK national and local newspapers.
Educational Recording Agency (ERA) operates a licensing scheme for educational use of broadcast material.
Creative Commons enables sharing of copyright works through simple licences.

Performing Rights Society (PRS) represents composers, lyricists and music publishers.
PPL (Phonographic Performance Ltd) is a UK-based music licensing company. It represents performers and record companies.
Association of Learned & Professional Society Publishers (ALPSP) represents academic publishers. Its website includes useful advice to authors.
Music Publishers Association (MPA) has published a Code of Fair Practice agreed between composers, publishers and users of printed music.
JISC (formerly Joint Information Services Committee) site has information on a wide range of intellectual property issues as they affect higher education, including a set of copyright guidelines. The site has been archived (as of early 2015) but remains a useful resource.
