This October UEA Library launches its first-ever Digital UEA event to help UEA students and staff make the most of its digital resources. Running 14-18th October, this week-long event is packed with over forty presentations, workshops, and activities from experts around campus as well as external presenters. Open to all staff and students, and completely free, this is a fantastic opportunity to enhance your research skills, connect with key resource providers, or just learn a few tips and tricks!
“We are thrilled to be bringing Digital UEA to staff and students for the very first time. The Library team have been working hard with a fantastic team of industry experts and suppliers to create a programme of events specifically designed to improve the student experience when it comes to using digital resources while at UEA” - Allison Carroll, Electronic Services Manager (Library).
The full programme of events can be accessed online but a few key highlights to look out for include sessions on:
- Using AI at University
- Digital tools for studying
- Drop-in access to international publishers, including EBSCO, Elsevier, SAGE, Proquest, Gale and more!
- Decolonising UEA’s resources
- Connecting with the Millenium Library in Norwich
- An exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of UEA Library
- And much, much more!
There is no need to pre-book for any Digital UEA sessions. Just come along to Floor 0 of UEA Library at the times listed in the main programme and join in!
If you aren’t able to make it into the Library during the Digital UEA event, don’t worry – we have curated a set of videos that provide insights into the resources being showcased during the week.
Digital UEA has something for everyone, and we’re looking forward to welcoming you! If you want to learn more, email the lib.helpdesk@uea.ac.uk who will be happy to help.
