From early July, the EBSCOhost databases (like CINAHL, PsycINFO, ERIC and others) will be getting a fresh new look.
The content stays the same, but the platform will be easier to use, more accessible, and better on mobile. And if you’ve ever used Library Search, the new design will feel familiar!
What's Changing?
- A cleaner, more modern interface
- Smoother searching and filtering
- Improved accessibility and mobile experience
What action do I need to take?
Most People Don’t Need to Do Anything
Saved searches and items saved in ‘My Folder’ in the current EBSCOhost databases will move over automatically.
Just log in as usual to the new interface from 8 July onwards to check everything looks right.
If You’ve Used ‘Custom Folders’
If you’ve ever used ‘custom folders’, these won’t transfer automatically.
However, there is a quick and easy way to bring them over to the new-look database. Simply log in to the classic database before 8 July 2025 and copy your saved custom folder items into the ‘My Folder’ structure, and they will automatically be moved to the new-look interface.
We've created a quick video to show you how.

If you miss the 8 July 2025 deadline
Don’t worry! You will still be able to retrieve all of your items saved in custom folders, using the ‘download report’ function. This will generate an Excel spreadsheet of your saved items, rather than moving them directly across to the new interface. It only takes a minute or two, and we have created a quick video to guide you through the process.

You’ll be able to do this anytime up until 31 December 2025.
