Unboxed Programme 2024-25

Unboxed, which runs between February and May in Semester 2, provides an opportunity for students to take a deep dive into UEA's Archives and Special Collections, with workshops on handling and researching archives, writing for the web, and opportunities to learn about libraries and archives as a career.

Unboxed volunteers attend two workshops, choose an item that interests them from the collections, and then research and write a blog entry about it. They will learn new skills, see their work published online and have something to add to their CV and contribute towards the UEA Award.

Unboxed is open to participants from all levels of study (Foundation through to PhD) and from across the University's faculties and schools. While the UEA Archives and Special Collections are rightly celebrated for their literary collections, the wider Archives and Special Collections contain some amazing resources, reflecting the full range of subject areas taught and researched at UEA.
