Key resources

There is a host of resources that UEA already provides, which can be accessed away from campus. You can see the full selection in our A-Z list, but here are a few that we think will be especially helpful.

CLINICAL KEY

If there is one resource you can't afford to miss, it's ClinicalKey. Simply put, this is the best collection of health e-books you can access and the sooner you get started with this resource, the better. There are so many titles in the collection, and while it won't be everything you need, it is a whole lot. So get started today, check out our quick-start video for tips.

ANATOMY.TV

Anatomy and physiology is a key part of the curriculum and there is nothing like learning from lifelike models. Luckily, we have access to a number of anatomy tools that allow you to investigate 3D models of the human body. Anatomy.TV is a great option for browsing on your computer, but we also have access to Complete Anatomy and Visible Body, which are apps you can download to your own devices. Whichever tool works best for you, you should have all the anatomical models you will need, at your fingertips.

BMJ BEST PRACTICE

There is nothing like learning in a practical environment and for that reason, making the most of any placements that are part of your course is going to be really important. We have access to a number of resources that will provide useful information to help you during your placements, and one of the best is BMJ Best Practice. This resource allows you to find quick summary information about various conditions, with content ranging from guides to diagnosis and treatment, to printable patient leaflets. There are also videos, calculators and more to help you get up to speed with just about any condition you are likely to encounter on placement.
