All UEA students have access to the Health e-hub app via Health Assured, which gives you wellbeing support at your fingertips, including support videos and webinars, four week programmes, online CBT and more.

You can download the Health e-hub at Google Play or the App Store.

Mindfulness sessions

Mindfulness involves setting some time aside during your day to give attention to your thoughts, feelings, and environment, and can help to improve both your physical and mental wellbeing.

Dr Kate Russell (EDU) has recorded a selection of mindfulness sessions for people to try guided meditation in their own homes or gardens. The free sessions, which are aimed at beginners, don’t require equipment, just around 20 minutes of time out from your day.

Mindfulness Introduction and Basic Instructions

Body Scan (20 mins)

Awareness of Breath (18 mins)

Mountain Meditation (12 mins)

Mindful eating (15 mins)

Awareness of sounds (14 mins)

Awareness of breath, body, sounds, thought (22 mins)

Mindful Stretching (18 mins)

Mindful Walking (12 mins)

3 Step Breathing Space (9 mins)

Please note that these sessions don’t constitute a full Mindfulness course – which would have practices embedded within a wider curriculum. They are a lovely way for beginners to try out and dip into particular elements of mindfulness.
